BDSM

BDSM – Stands for bondage and discipline, dominance and submission, sadism and masochism. BDSM includes a range of sexual, as well as emotional and spiritual, interactions that are willingly completed by the parties involved. This can include creating moments of intense pain (that are safe), as well as acting in a power role. BDSM is characterized by partner’s having different roles. It could be as simple as one person being in control and the other person receiving or something more extreme as a “master and slave” relationship. In this relationship, the “slave” gives full rights to the “master” and this role-play may become a lifestyle in itself. Regardless of which role one person has, each has an inherent power. For those people who are interested in learning more, the BDSM community is welcoming. Many books are written on this subject, and it is something one can engage in within the privacy of ones own home with an intimate partner. However, to attend group functions, to protect member’s own safety, proper ID may be required, along with requiring a certain dress code, codes of conduct and forms of address.
