Robert Jenkins M.Ed. has been practicing therapy for 3 years. Robert received a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health in Schools and Developing Communities from Penn State University. Robert has been interested in gender dynamics and understanding societal expectations and it’s relationship with pressure involving sexual performance and happiness. Robert has helped clients work through diagnosis of sexually transmitted diseases, erectile dysfunction, bestiality, and power dynamics. He is committed to the development of healthy and sexual relationships for individual and couples.
Prior to working for the Center for Growth, Inc. Robert worked in the Cedar Clinic, helping students through quality of life, interpersonal and relationship challenges. The Moore Clinic, a community clinic in State College Pennsylvania, helping clients through weekly groups, anxiety and personality disorders, and areas of sexual dysfunction. Robert also worked as a family-based therapist working with children who have dealt with sexual, emotional, and physical abuse.
Robert operates from a strength-based cognitive approach and works towards understanding what is going on to help lead to persistent change. He is committed to multi-cultural psychology and has worked with clients of all sexual identities, races, and challenges. Robert is dedicated to the empowerment of women and has worked in social psychology labs to better understand the relationship of gender in achieving successful therapeutic outcomes.
