Margaret (Meg) Fromuth, LMFT is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson University where she studied Couples and Family Therapy in the Department of Counseling and Behavioral Health. While at school, she specialized in systemic sex therapy. Margaret is currently working on achieving her license as a Marriage and Family Therapist through her work at The Center for Growth and Sex Therapy in Philadelphia.
Margaret believes sexuality is a reflection of the systems we create within ourselves and the systems we’re surrounded by. Through sex therapy, she plans to work with her clients to find themes and patterns and implement strengths-based interventions to help her clients with their problems and difficulties. It is her belief that sexuality is on a spectrum and as a clinician, she meets her clients where they’re at on that spectrum. She uses the PLISSIT model to engage with clients in a thoughtful and respectful way. Ultimately, she provides a space for clients to feel safe and be heard by another and will utilize many philosophical and theoretical frameworks for each clients’ needs as they explore their sexuality.
Margaret enjoys working with couples and individuals on a diverse spectrum of issues including gender identity, sexual identity, sexual trauma, sexual issues within couple dynamics, and sensate focus. Margaret enjoys working with the LGBTQIA+ community as well as the kink and BDSM community.
