Ashley Matz is doing a post-doctoral fellowship in psychology at The Center for Growth. She will be doing evaluations as well as individual counseling, couples therapy and sex therapy.
Ashley is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University’s Schreyer Honors College with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Sexuality and Gender Studies. She received a Master of Arts in Psychology from Widener University and completed an internship at AIDS Care Group. She is currently completing a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, as well as a Master of Education in Human Sexuality, from Widener University.
Ashley practices from an integrative therapy model, conceptualizing from a psychodynamic approach while incorporating CBT and other techniques into treatment. She has experience working with an integrative team, coordinating with a client’s medical providers throughout treatment.
To Sex Therapy in Philadelphia, Ashley brings a wealth of experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, addictions, and underserved populations.
Ashley enjoys working with individuals and couples, sexual and gender orientation, and sexual health education. She is also passionate about coordinating with and integrating medical providers’ treatment recommendations when informing clients’ treatment.
