About UsSex Therapy in Philadelphia, also known as The Center for Growth, Inc., is staffed by a group of licensed professional psychotherapists with specialized training in the treatment of depression, anxiety, eating disorders, chronic pain, sexual function / dysfunction and relationship problems. We provide counseling and therapy to individuals, couples and families, as well as conduct support groups, offer psychoeducational workshops, and serve as consultants in the Philadelphia area.
We use established therapeutic and psychoeducational techniques to help you identify your goals and develop the skills you need to grow into your very best self. We help you understand your behaviors so you can choose the path best for you. We do not dictate the direction the therapy will take, or the goals you aim to reach – that is for you to decide. Once your goals are defined, however, our job is to support, nurture, challenge, and educate you so that you can achieve those goals. Using the right combination of therapy techniques, we have been able to help many people achieve greater joy, fulfillment and satisfaction in their lives. We believe that we can help you too.
Our Philosophy
We believe that each individual is unique and can develop the skills necessary to achieve a fulfilling life. There is not one best way of living; however, there are ways in which people could experience more pleasure and achieve an increased amount of satisfaction in their lives. We define success not by how one completes a particular task, but rather how one keeps going after a set-back. Often it is only through failure that the real learning begins.
In the process of life, everyone makes mistakes and everyone has room to improve. We believe that everyone who is motivated to do so can learn from their mistakes and be better.
