One of the most frequent phone calls that I receive are from television producers looking for clients who are struggling with some aspect(s) of their sexuality that would be willing to go on television air their issues. Some of the producers are looking for clients who would be willing to allow a film crew to follow their therapy.
I, like most therapists, have always said that it would be inappropriate to ask any current or former client to do such a thing. From a therapist's perspective such a question is a boundary violation. Furthermore, the experience may or may not be positive. For some couples going in front of millions of people could be liberating, others it may hold them accountable. Yet, for some it may be destructive, embarassing, humiliating and simply innappropiate.
If you are an individual or a couple who wish to go on reality tv / news show and share your story, I, as a provider of information on the Internet with no established connection to you, may be able connect you with an interested producer.
