Orgasms and
Premature Labor Question: Can female orgasms cause premature labor? Answer: False. While female orgasms may cause women to experience mild contractions, it will not cause them to go into premature labor. Similarly, breast stimulation, including women who choose to continue to breastfeed throughout pregnancy may experience mild contractions. These contractions are caused by the Oxytocin that gets released during nipple stimulation. As a general guideline, if the woman starts to experience frequent contractions, stop the nipple stimulation and within ten minutes or so, the contractions will stop. |
