I am a psychoanalyst and an AASECT certified sex therapist who for over 30 years has been helping couples and individuals gain or regain sexual desire, functioning, pleasure, and zest in their sex lives.
Philosophy Our biggest sex organ is our brain. Therefore to enjoy sex we need to clear out negative thoughts and feelings, enhance communication with our partners, and discover and embrace the loving and lustful parts of ourselves. My approach to doing this involves working with individual and couple dynamics as well as practical assignments to be done at home to improve your sex life.
Education
Barnard College, Columbia University: BA; Hunter School of Social Work: MSW; National Institute of the Psychotherapies: Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. Postgraduate Center for Mental Health: Supervisory training program. I am a senior supervisor and faculty member at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health in NYC and at the Contemporary Center for Advanced Psychoanalytic Studies in NJ.
